What is GI Norden?

GI Norden is short for "Geographic Information Norden" (Norden = the Nordic countries) and is a Nordic non-profit organisation within the field of geomatics. The organisation's mission is to develop, co-ordinate and promote the member organisations' conclusions concerning international and regional decisions on geographic infrastructure issues. The objectives of GI Norden are to develop the general and professional knowledge of geographic information and promote geographic information as a part of the infrastructure of the Nordic societies.
