GI Norden Award of Honour given to Bengt Rystedt

GI Norden has for the second time given an award for remarkable initiatives and results within the field of Geographic Information. During ULI's Conference GeoInfo 2007 in Gävle 17.-19. October, the award was given to Bengt Rystedt, former president of the International Cartographic Association (ICA).

Bengt Rystedt was given the award for his outstanding work in cartography, especially as president of the International Cartographic Association.

 

This was the second time the award was given, last year it was given to Olaf Østensen.
